Aasta Hansteen Hub
The Aasta Hansteen gas field is operated by Equinor. Harbour Energy has a 24% non-operated interest in the field which is located in the northern part of the Norwegian Sea and is currently the deepest producing field on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The field has been developed with a spar platform and four subsea templates. The spar platform weighs 70,000 tonnes, making it the largest in the world. Gas is exported via the Polarled pipeline to the Nyhamna terminal and condensate is offloaded via shuttle tankers. Aasta Hansteen commenced production in 2018.
The Irpa field (19% interest, non-operated) is being developed as a tie back to Aasta Hansteen, with the Obelix upflank discovery from 2023 (10% non-operated interest) being considered for future development, in addition to further exploration in the area.
