Njord Hub

The Njord platform is operated by Equinor and Harbour Energy has interests in the following Njord Hub fields: Njord (50% non-operated interest), Bauge (27.5% interest, non-operated) and Hyme (27.5% interest, non-operated).

The fields contain oil, associated and non-associated gas and gas-condensates and consists of a floating steel platform unit, Njord A, and an oil storage vessel, Njord Bravo. Gas is exported via the ATS pipeline (Åsgard Transport System) to Kårstø and oil is offloaded via shuttle tankers.

At the end of 2022 the field restarted production after major upgrades beginning in 2016, of both the platform and the storage vessel designed to prolong its lifetime to 2040 and beyond. 10 new wells at Njord were sanctioned as part of the Njord Future project, which will continue to 2027. A project has also been approved to provide power from shore to partly electrify the facilities planned from the middle of 2027.
