With more than 700 mmboe of 2C resources, mainly in the Vaca Muerta shale play, Argentina represents the largest single component of Harbour’s 2C resources and a significant reserve replacement opportunity for the company.
In 2025, production from the CMA-1 gas fields averaged 52 kboepd, while San Roque delivered 2.5 kboepd. Following the drilling of four exploration and appraisal wells and four general pilot wells, Harbour and its partners are in the process of applying for an unconventional licence. This would allow development of the Vaca Muerta black oil shale to commence, starting with a potential 16 well pilot programme later in 2026.
Harbour and its partners took final investment decision on Southern Energy SA, a landmark two-vessel c. 6mtpa floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) project which will unlock access to global energy markets. In fact, a Heads of Terms was signed with Germany’s SEFE for c.80% of the first vessel’s LNG offtake in December 2025.
